we're working towards an equitable & Just greater Pittsburgh
What we are about
Equity and justice are urgent needs, in Pittsburgh and elsewhere. In the face of COVID-19, ongoing environmental degradation, climate change, and persistent racism and discrimination in many forms, something needs to be done. Equitable and Just Greater Pittsburgh (EJGP) is a cross-issue, cross-neighborhood network of over 150 different organizations, community groups, and residents working to secure an equitable and just Greater Pittsburgh.
Since January 2020, EJGP has established itself as a hub for networks, organizations, and individuals to communicate and work together across sectors and neighborhoods. In that time, we assembled the Platform for an Equitable and Just Greater Pittsburgh, a multi-issue equity and justice platform relevant to the local context. We continue to revise and add to this platform. Currently, we also support campaigns that network partners are leading.
In this network, we prioritize the needs and voices of those in need of resources. We build across neighborhoods and across issue areas. By connecting as a network, we support each other as we work together to imagine and create a better, equitable, and just future!
